A round table-discussion on "The Republic of Kazakhstan contribution in the global nuclear disarmament” (to the 25th anniversary of the Semipalatinsk nuclear ground closure) took place at the Center of International and Public Policy Research “Caspiy-Eurasia”on August 30, 2016.
It was attended by the Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan Syzdykov A.U. together with Astrakhan scientists and experts.
Participants have discussed issues related to the history of the Semipalatinsk nuclear ground, consequences of nuclear testing, chronicle of its closure, Kazakhstan efforts on overcoming the consequences of nuclear testing as well as its contribution in the global nuclear disarmament, cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in the process of forming a new model of the global non-nuclear cooperation.
