Experts from Russia and Kazakhstan discussed cooperation of Caspian countries in humanitarian area

The Center for International and Socio-Political Research "Caspian - Eurasia" in cooperation with the Political Science Center "North-South" organized in Astrakhan an international discussion panel «Russia-Kazakhstan: the Caspian dimension of cooperation (investment, tourism, culture)». Experts from different regions took part in the panel online.

In the course of meeting issues of the tourism potential of the regions, cultural communications and cooperation of the Caspian countries in humanitarian area were discussed.

In particular, associate professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University Natalia Kharitonova noted that Astrakhan region plays an important role in the Caspian integration.

The report of the executive director of the communication group Imars (Moscow), Alexander Revsky, was devoted to the development of tourist potential of regions and their promotion in the global context. In his opinion, with the competent implementation of the strategy for the development of tourism potential and the promotion of new brands, the tourist flow to Astrakhan region can increase to 2 million people.

Director of the Nekrasov Central Universal Scientific Library (Moscow) Maria Privalova devoted her speech to the possibilities of cultural communication.

In addition, experts from the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of municipalities of the bordering Astrakhan and Mangistau regions, joined the discussion online. The sites mentioned that cooperation between two countries in the field of tourism will intensify. Moreover, direct flights have been established between Astrakhan and Kazakhstan, which are convenient for the development of tourist ties.
